ACLU says federal agents do not have the right to defend themselves against rock throwing illegal mexicans?

Throwing rocks at someone can be very dangerous. Shooting may be a little extreme, but if there is no other way then shooting should be used as a last resort. After all, a police officer has the right to shoot a suspect that is getting away as a last resort if the suspect is known to be armed or dangerous. They are criminals and if they don't freeze when told to freeze then they should know what the consequences of their actions should be.
