Is this normal?? am i wrong! PLEASE HELP!!!?

ok so the ADOPTED daughter nezbit (3) has been feeling left out since me and my girlfriend Jafar forgot her birthday. we let her have seconds at dinner to make up for it but she still seemed mad. anyway that night we found her weeping silently in a corner dress as a pickle. she just covered herself in guacamole. I was worried so we made her stay at a friends house just in case she was mentally ill. She's at the hospital now and i brought her flowers, but i don't think she's acting normally! should i get her professional help, or is it just a phase. or should i punish her... i don't know what to do... thanks for your help. serious answers please!
